The Bitcoin Mission ‘A Successful Failure’
On May 30, 2020, SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule with two U.S. astronauts, in a history-making flight to the International Space Station. I watched in awe as the rocket drifted into the universe. It was truly a glimpse of hope for our great nation and humanity during these pressing times. After a successful mission, I wanted to learn more about space travel and came across a video detailing the story of Apollo 13.

ChainRift UI. Simple, intuitive, clean. No trading experience required. We, at ChainRift, spent the last 1.5 years building out the world’s most user-friendly, high performant, secure cryptocurrency marketplace. Over the last 6 months following our stealth launch, we on-boarded several community-driven promising projects that needed a marketplace. We interacted daily with our small but growing base of users. Blind men and the elephant
The parable of the blind men and an elephant as illustrated by Hans Møllers A group of cypherpunks once discovered a strange software protocol, called “Bitcoin”, announced in a mailing list by a pseudonymous developer, with open-sourced code ready for peer review and software ready for download. Nobody had seen anything quite like this before.

Author’s note: This story mentions things you can do with cryptocurrencies, including some unlawful things, in order to inform the readers of what’s actually possible. This is in no way an endorsement for breaking the law. I think that the experiment we are doing with Bitcoin and alternative cryptocurrencies is the beginning of the end of government-issued money. The concept of money and our relationship with it in a decade from now will be very different from what it is today.

There are three main contenders: Miners who mint new bitcoins Developers who write the Bitcoin software Users who run the Bitcoin nodes In this post, we review the role of each of these participants in the Bitcoin network and explore how much control each of them has over the network. As an added bonus, I present my satirical take on an emerging new class of Bitcoiners.
Post-Bitcoin-Maximalism - Ferdous Bhai - Medium
In early-2013, when I learned about Bitcoin, I dropped everything else I was doing and focused on building on, advocating for, and acquiring Bitcoin. This still continues to be the case today, but my stance on “Bitcoin maximalism” has changed in light of lessons I’ve learned along the way. Important to note here, I do not favor any particular alternative to Bitcoin.
Crypto Insider is moving to a new home
Here are some of our top posts in no particular order: A year and half ago, we launched Crypto Insider. Thanks to our team of small but highly motivated writers, the publication enjoyed 100K+ active readers at its peak and became one of the most reliable outlets for cryptocurrency news. We had our ups and downs. We lost our original domain name in an unfortunate incident where we learned valuable lessons regarding the reasons why contract laws exist.
