Pacific Security Partnerships at CARAT Thailand 2026
By Mike Wright The United States deepened its commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific this week as U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Marine Corps forces joined maritime partners from Thailand and Canada in Sattahip to open the 32nd iteration of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2026, July 6. The exercise advances U.S. national security interests by sharpening combined combat readiness and reinforcing our decades-long alliance with Thailand.
Mike's Ultimate Value Hitsquad for 2023 (Fantasy Football)
This weekend was one for the ages. I’m absolutely exhausted from the Megalashow in Los Angeles. The #Megalashow was absolutely wild and amazing. Thank you thank you to everyone who came out and let me pretend to be a rockstar for a night. pic.twitter.com/6EFSHKNWe4 — Mike Wright (@FFHitman) August 27, 2023 Beyond living like a rockstar for a night, it’s time to turn the page and focus on what is most imminent: “It’s Football Time!”… but for real this time.
“The Archangel” Luke Staley does not expect to see the judges’ scorecards at Stellar Fights 52
There is an old saying in mixed martial arts, “styles make fights” and this weekend at Stellar Fights 52, “The Archangel” Luke Staley expects to see the grappler vs the striker.
Mike's Ultimate Value Hitsquad for 2022
Ladies and gentlemen… we are inching ever so closer to getting to say for real: It’s Football Time! Another year and another chance to let the FootClan hunt down values in each round of their fantasy drafts. My annual Hitman-themed article consists of an elite group of men with a special skill set to take down your fantasy opponents. These are my favorite players per round based solely on my projections in the UDK and the value that I see at their current average draft position per Sleeper ADP.
The Grind with Aaron Jeffery
Regional mixed martial arts standout Aaron Jeffery is determined to make it to the big stage no matter what it takes. Having fought for some of the biggest regional MMA promotions in the U.S. and even headlining his last three regional outings, which all resulted in wins for Jeffery, what else would you expect from the current defending middleweight champion in Cage Fury Fighting Championships?
Lining Them Up and Taking Them Down: Karl Williams Talks Recent Victory over Dashawn Boatwright
Karl Williams has his next fight set In October, Stellar Fights put on their first ever all pro card in Maryland, at the Wicomico Center in Salisbury. The event featured some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts on the regional circuit. The card was stacked from top to bottom with fighters from all over the United states and displayed a range of fighters from different weight classes.
Andrew Cruz reflects on Stellar Fights win over Kevin Chung
Recently I had the pleasure of speaking to Idaho MMA Featherweight standout, Andrew “Hurricane” Cruz, after his 3rd round submission victory over Kevin Chung at Stellar Fights 47. Cruz had nothing but good things to say about his opponent and acknowledged that Chung landed a head kick early in their fight that “rang his bell” a little bit.
Stellar Fights 47 - Sleeper Bouts
Tomorrow night, Delaware’s long running regional amateur mixed martial arts promotion, Stellar Fights, will host their 47th event. The event will take place at the Wicomico Civic Center ins Salisbury, MD. It will be the first time the promotion will be at a venue this big and it will be the first time that Stellar Fights will house only professional MMA fighters entirely on their card.
Passing the Guard - Triple Threat Combat Sports Under New Leadership
Nestled away in an industrial park behind the Maryland DMV in Elkton, MD is the small but well known mixed martial arts gym called Triple Threat Combat Sports. While the gym is not internationally known it has become a staple in the MMA community in Delaware and has become a must-stop for any professional grappler or MMA fighter passing through the area. The ever evolving and tenacious gym has found a new home just over the MD/DE state line and has big plans for the future.

A Stirn Talking To
Known for being a little slice of vice, Atlantic City, New Jersey has become the east coast’s version of ‘Sin City.’ Most east coast natives know that, but what they might not know is that Atlantic city has a long and illustrious history hosting combat sports and mainly mixed martial arts since 2000. This year Atlantic City has become the temporary home of the Professional Fighters League as the MMA promotion complies with unified rules and international Covid protocols.
Fantasy Football: Mike's Ultimate Value Hitsquad for 2018
After Andy paraded around the office showboating about his latest 32 Shamelessly Bold Predictions article, I thought it was time for the verified version of FFHitman to get in on the writing action before the season starts. The hit squad is made of an elite group of my favorite players per round based solely on my projections in the Ultimate Draft Kit and value that I see at their current average draft position (ADP).
