Logistics company CMA CGM officially joined Flexis SAS, a new joint venture founded by Renault Group and Volvo Group for the next generation of electric vans. CMA CGM, through PULSE, its energy fund, acquired a 10% stake in Flexis SAS and has confirmed its interest for a strategic investment up to EUR 120 million by 2026. Volvo Group and Renault Group, holding each a 45% stake in Flexis SAS, plan to invest respectively EUR 300 million over the next three years.
Renault Group announced that the Sandouville site is to build a next generation of electric LCVs for Flexis SAS, the new joint venture set up by Renault Group, Volvo Group and CMA CGM. Reflecting the expertise and skills acquired by Sandouville in the production of LCVs over the past 10 years, the site has been selected to build a new generation of electric vans from 2026.
