Why did you become a journalist?
Music saved me. It gave me a voice long before I knew how to use mine. Therefore I owe myself to it.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Sadly, I lasted one day. Same with college. My passion for writing came much later. Radio was my first love.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My 'The Samples That Pay Homage To Black Legacy Acts In Music' for UPROXX. Arts education Black music Black culture = my sweet spot.

It was the pitch but their approach. Rude, entitled, or 'everything's urgent' people grind my gears.
