I am an accidental journalist - in real life I am a psychology professor.
Who do you wish followed you?
Everyone!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I think that my piece on mass shootings addressed a much more serious issue than most of the things I write.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do not major in journalism. Yes, work on your writing skills, but develop real expertise in a traditional academic discipline.
