Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
They tend to be so unethical, so that limits the field... I'd say pretty much anyone in Spotlight.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Notepad, DSLR camera, audio recorder, iPhone, laptop...loads of things. I use databases for reporting and editing software for my videos.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter at the moment — it's a great spot for news.
Who do you wish followed you?
Probably a broader audience of people who are impacted by the news I cover. I guess that's not something I dwell on.
Why did you become a journalist?
It's the best job in the world. There's nothing like talking to amazing people, digging for facts, and uncovering a great story.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My investigative pieces on contamination in New York City's wooden drinking water tanks spurred reforms at NYCHA and new laws.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime. I'm up late.
