Fred Topel’s Biography

Fred has been a professional journalist since 1999. Some of his first scoops were on the live-action Scooby-Doo movie, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and The Matrix sequels. Even though filmmakers have gotten cagier over the years, he's still busting out scoops on the Die Hard prequel McClane, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, 24 Jump Street (skipping 23 altogether) and more.

Fred interviews the stars and creators of new movies and TV shows every week. Some of the standout interviews include Nicolas Cage, Winona Ryder, Brit Marling, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Kevin Smith, Dolph Lundgren, James Wan, Brie Larson, Noomi Rapace, Andy Serkis and more. He is a member of the Television Critics Association and a Rotten Tomatoes film critic.

From the birth of online movie sites to the rise of bloggers and social media, Fred has balanced the needs of all of his outlets and provided exactly the material they need to stand out in a crowded media landscape.
