I started writing for the Daily Californian in Berkeley as a student.

It's making it even more important for professional journalists to remember there's no substitute for primary sourcing

To have access to people, from heads of state to goat herders in East Timor, that I would otherwise not meet

we didn't have one
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Most recently, a story about the plight of domestic workers in Hong Kong pegged to the horrific double murder in Wan Chai last year.

read long form journalism and keep it alive
