The Impact of Local Strain Fields in Noncollinear Antiferromagnetic Films
1 Introduction Recently there has been great interest in antiferromagnetic materials for their use in energy efficient computing[1-4] and neuromorphic hardware[5, 6] with the potential for terahertz operating frequencies, lower thermal losses, and enhanced on-chip packing density.[7-10] In particular, noncollinear antiferromagnets (AFMs) such as Mn3A (A = Sn, Ge, Pt) and Mn3AN (A = Ni, Ga, Sn) have been shown to possess intrinsic anomalous Hall effect (AHE),[11-17] magneto-optical Kerr effect...
Anomalous Nernst effect in ${\mathrm{Mn}}_{3}\mathrm{NiN}$ thin films
Abstract The observation of a sizable anomalous Hall effect in magnetic materials with vanishing magnetization has renewed interest in understanding and engineering this phenomenon. Antiferromagnetic antiperovskites are one of the emerging material classes that exhibit a variety of interesting properties owing to a complex electronic band structure and magnetic ordering. Reports on the anomalous Nernst effect and its magnitude in this class of materials are, however, very limited.
