A melatonin textile transdermal patch based on physicochemical synergistic permeation-enhancement strategy for circadian rhythm regulation
Abstract Melatonin, an endogenous circadian rhythm-regulating hormone, has faced challenges in achieving prolonged exogenous regulation due to its low oral bioavailability and short half-life. Existing transdermal strategies are difficult to balance efficacy, safety, and accessibility. To address this, we propose a physicochemical synergistic permeation-enhancement strategy and have developed a melatonin textile transdermal patch based on the synergistic action of electret and permeation enhancer.
A Magnetic-Driven Self-Rotation-Stabilized Miniature Swimming Robot
1 Introduction In recent years, with the rapid development of materials science and intelligent manufacturing technologies, miniature swimming robots (MSRs) have become a prominent research focus at leading research institutions worldwide [1-9]. MSRs, a form of robot operating in underwater liquid media, have significant potential for applications in fields such as environmental monitoring due to their unique compliance and excellent environmental adaptability [10, 11].
RISC-V-based YOLOv3-tiny acceleration with runtime-reconfigurable systolic arrays and custom instructions
Abstract YOLOv3-tiny is widely used in edge-oriented object detection, but its deployment on resource-constrained platforms is limited by high computational cost and the limited flexibility of conventional processors. This paper presents a RISC-V-based acceleration framework for YOLOv3-tiny inference that combines a tightly coupled CPU-accelerator architecture with runtime-reconfigurable hardware support.
The effects of Okra supplementation on blood pressure, lipid profile, and inflammation in patients with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and diabetic nephropathy: a meta-analysis and systematic review
Abstract Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), a traditional plant rich in fiber, flavonoids, and antioxidants, has been suggested to improve glycemic control, lipid metabolism, and inflammation, but clinical evidence remains inconsistent.

Development and Mechanical Evaluation of a Novel Segmental Braided–Knitted Nitinol Stent with Enhanced Migration Resistance for Malignant Large Bowel Obstruction
1 Introduction Colorectal cancer is a leading cause of cancer mortality, growing at a rate of 2–3% every year, with malignant large bowel obstruction (MLBO) commonly affecting 15–20% of patients. Self-expanding metal stents (tubular material used to open malfunctioned ducts of the body to aid healing) (SEMS) are the established first-line intervention for MLBO [1-3].
Design of a MXene-Based Ion-Imprinted Membrane for Lithium Ion Recognition
Design of a MXene-Based Ion-Imprinted Membrane for Lithium Ion Recognition Recovery of lithium from battery-related waste streams has attracted increasing attention, yet selective separation of Li⁺ from coexisting ions remains challenging. In particular, the similar physicochemical characteristics of Li⁺ and Mg²⁺ complicate their discrimination in aqueous systems.
Embracing Vulnerability: My Chinese Food Cooking Adventure
Fujun Wang · Follow 2 min read · -- I found myself in a moment of vulnerability this week that was kind of thrilling and very nerve-wracking. I had invited a few friends over to taste some Chinese food. I was stoked to show them some of China’s delicacies, but I was a bit apprehensive. I mean, what if the food tasted horrible and they didn’t like it?

PWL1, a G‐type lectin receptor‐like kinase, positively regulates leaf senescence and heat tolerance but negatively regulates resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae in rice
Background Leaf senescence is the final stage of plant leaf development, accompanied by the degradation of intracellular organelles and the decomposition of macromolecules to relocate nutrients from senescing leaves into developing tissues and/or storage organs (Lim et al., 2007).
