Garima Chitkara is an Asia-based independent journalist covering Asian financial markets, banking and regulation. She has worked as a staff writer at Asia Risk and Central Banking in Hong Kong and a research analyst at KPMG in Mumbai. She has written extensively on financial risk management and derivatives with a special focus on OTC reform, Asian exchanges and market structure, renminbi internationalisation and foreign exchange. At KPMG, she was involved in research in corporate intelligence and subsequently worked in financial risk management focusing on Basel II implementation projects.
