Denon X1800H with RC-1257 remote is it backlit?
I just hooked up the X1800H and I can't figure out if this remote is backlit or not. Some reviews I found online say it is and some comments I see say it is not. What's odd is the upper left button - MAIN is backlit. No other buttons are lighting up but they look like they could be backlit.

#1 · This quick-witted spy drama follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents -- and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb -- as they navigate the espionage world's smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.
Warehouse 13 on Syfy

Wow - what SciFi Channel were you watching? They've been focused on "profits and good ratings rather than good television and real science fiction" for quite awhile now.
OLED (LG CX) developing dead pixels along edge after ~2.5 years
Thanks for the warning @hawkeye_a but you haven't mentioned how many hours are on your TV. 🤷♂️ The fact you're watching Quantum TV doesn't speak well ... some consider him less, much less, than a reliable source of info. AFAIK Sony ... some models ... use QD-OLED panels by Samsung. You can check in those model topics for help from owners.
Can I get my Pioneer receiver to auto select the correct audio format?
I have a Pioneer LX-503 connected to a nVidia Shield. The shield is running Kodi. The HDMI cable goes from Shield to Pioneer to TV. Depending on the video it could be DTS, Dolby-HD, 2 ch stereo...etc. Why can't the receiver match the input for output if it supports the format like DTS or Dolby-HD. Why must I always select the correct audio for output?
Sofabaton U1 scroll wheel
I just got the Sofabaton U1. I'm not sure how the scroll wheel is supposed to work. I can move the wheel up and down to highlight the device I want but the wheel itself is not clickable. I have to use the button to the lower right of the wheel to select the device, is that normal?
Better remote for Shield Pro 2019
Discussion Starter · #1 · a moment ago I have a LG C9 OLED, Pioneer LX-503 and AT&T STB. My config is messy because the AT&T STB refuses to work through the Pioneer. It's connected to the LG and uses E-ARC to get the audio back to the receiver. The Shield goes through the receiver. Most of my viewing is Kodi via the Shield. The Shield remote I love the ease of it and the Bluetooth for controlling the Shield. But when I switch to the AT&T box, out comes the LG remote and the Pioneer remote.
It's been years, I need a new universal remote, been using the Pronto TSU-9400
I have no idea what is out there these days. A little over 2 years ago I upgraded and bought a LG C9 panel, Pioneer receiver and Shield Pro 2019. My primary viewing is the Shield using Kodi. I also have a AT&T u-Verse STB. Once I started using the Shield the Pronto became a dust collector since it won't do Bluetooth. I watched a review for a Sofabaton and was surprised it used a trackball like the old Blackberry phones used. It's all pre-production so nothing you could buy/want today.
'Falling Skies' on TNT HD
I've thought about just matting my TV so it's in a constant 2.35:1 ratio. Unfortunately the popups and logos have gotten so big, stretching into the entire bottom half of the screen, that I'd only be blocking about 1/2 of them.My solution is just to quit watching TV. I find myself purposely avoiding stuff like this and just watching it on FiOS's VOD or just waiting for them to hit Netflix streaming or Blu-Ray.
