Have you ever used a typewriter?
I have! My mom used to have one at her office when I was a kid and I loved writing short stories on it when I went to work with her.
How is social media changing news?
It's made it more accessible to people my age and younger, who may not sit down to watch TV or read a newspaper for their info.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
We use and in-house CMS at TheGamer, but I've also got ample experience with Google Trends, Ahrefs, AnswerThePublic, WordPress, and more.
What's your favorite social network?
I try to stay off of them as much as I can when it's not for work, but I use Instagram most.
Why did you become a journalist?
I've always had some passionate thoughts about the entertainment niche, and I love being part of the conversation about my favorite things.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Not high school, but I worked for my college's newspaper when I went back to finish my undergraduate degree between 2020-2022!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I did a couple interviews for Date Everything! ahead of its launch, and I'm also extremely proud of my thorough Persona guide coverage.
What's your favorite drink?
Iced coffee.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the kitchen baking.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I just play video games for a living. That's the first part, but it's not the only part!
