General Charles Hamilton’s Biography

General Charles Hamilton, from Houston, TX, is the Founder and President of C3R Hamilton Consulting, LLC, and a retired 4-Star General of the United States Army. He applies more than 40 years of military service as a Logistics Officer to provide corporations with strategies that improve supply chains, reduce cybersecurity risks, and prepare for global challenges. After retiring from active duty, he continued to advance his executive knowledge by completing programs at Harvard Business School and the Center for Creative Leadership.

Charles R. Hamilton developed a career built on solving complex challenges with careful planning and disciplined execution. His expertise in logistics, defense operations, cybersecurity, and procurement has equipped him to guide organizations in building resilience and pursuing growth opportunities. He managed a budget exceeding 50 billion dollars, overseeing the delivery of critical resources such as weapons systems, vehicles, and equipment to all 50 states and more than 150 countries. Under his leadership, modernization and readiness were strengthened across the force. He also served three combat tours in Afghanistan during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, contributing to missions that targeted al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

His service included essential responsibilities in the Pentagon, where he directed global supply chains that ensured soldiers received food, medicine, clothing, weapons, and equipment. He introduced new processes that improved forecasting and delivery, helping sustain operations across the world with greater efficiency and precision.

After retirement, he established C³R Hamilton Consulting to bring his military planning skills into the private sector. His firm assists organizations in navigating government contracting, protecting intellectual property, and strengthening cooperation with the defense community. Using what he calls the “sustainment enterprise” approach, he combines military discipline with business strategy to help companies achieve long-term success while contributing to national readiness.

General Hamilton has been recognized with many honors, including the Distinguished Service Medal and the Bronze Star. In 2023, he earned his fourth star at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, in a ceremony attended by dignitaries. He also received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Virginia State University, where he had completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He later earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master’s in Military Studies from Marine Corps University.
