Geoff Smith’s Biography

I am the sports editor for The Berkshire Eagle in Pittsfield, Mass. I've been in the journalism industry since graduating from Hofstra University with a bachelor's degree in journalism, starting out as a freelancer and working my way up to now. From international soccer matches to Little League district championships, I've covered all things sports in my career. Favorite subjects include soccer, basketball and lacrosse coverage, along with features on athletes and coaches. In addition to writing, I've developed an extensive photography portfolio, and have a deep background with social media posting and interacting to increase viewership of media and readership of print stories.
