Effect of pH and exposure duration on the deterioration of vegetation-growing concrete attacked by oxalic and acetic acid
Abstract Vegetation-growing concrete supports plant growth through interconnected pores, but root-secreted organic acids progressively degrade its cementitious matrix, threatening long-term durability. However, the coupled effects of acid type, pH, and exposure duration remain insufficiently quantified, and the distinct degradation mechanisms of oxalic and acetic acids are not well understood.

Socio-economic factors and political status shape mortality risk from suicide attacks linked to climate variability
Background Suicide attacks are among the most lethal forms of political violence and impose substantial public health and societal burdens. However, the associations between temperature and precipitation variability and mortality from suicide attacks (MFSA) remain poorly understood.

A novel hybrid model for coastal aquaculture ponds integrating hierarchical decision-tree and ensemble-learning approaches from Sentinel satellites
Abstract Coastal aquaculture ponds represent a significant contributor to economic growth and food provision, underscoring the necessity of precise spatial mapping to support sustainable resource management. Current extraction methods often rely on single-source data and are easily confused by spectral heterogeneity in complex coastal environments, leading to blurred boundaries and misclassification.

We conducted a single-center case-control study at the Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, involving 16 NICCD patients, 34 post-NICCD patients, 31 NICCD-matched controls, and 70 post-NICCD matched controls from October 2020 to July 2024. Among the post-NICCD children, 12 were classified as FTT, while the remaining 22 were considered to have normal growth.
Women's dietary diversity is associated with homestead production and market access: A cross‐sectional study in rural Rwanda
1 INTRODUCTION Despite substantial improvements in the food security situation, more than 820 million people globally lack sufficient food and many more consume poor-quality diets (Willett et al., 2019). Additionally, more than 2 billion people suffer from hidden hunger (Stevens et al., 2022). Many of the undernourished people are in low- and middle-income countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia (FAO et al., 2022).

Covering the entire expanse of Iran, the study area extends between latitudes 24° and 40° N, and longitudes 44° and 64° E. Iran’s geographic layout is demarcated into 31 provinces, accommodating a population exceeding 81 million people across its vast 1.65 million km2 territory. The nation showcases notable climatic and topographical diversity, spanning from areas situated a few tens of meters below sea level to altitudes surpassing 5,600 m.
An investigation of Nitrospira bacteria in coastal wetlands of China: distribution pattern and related environmental driving factors
Introduction Nitrogen is an essential component of all living organism and considered as a growth limiting factor in many ecosystems. As a major source of bioavailable nitrogen, nitrate is mainly converted by aerobic nitrite oxidation during the second step of nitrification, which is catalyzed by chemolithoautotrophic nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (NOB) (Kuypers et al., 2018).
The nonlinear absorption mechanism of CsPbX3 quantum dots
The nonlinear absorption mechanism of CsPbX3 quantum dots The nonlinear optical properties of a lead halide perovskite, especially its third-order nonlinear absorption response, enable it to be used in nonlinear optical devices, such as a passive Q-switch, an up-conversion laser, an optical limiter, and an infrared detector. However, there is a lack of systematic research and analysis on the nonlinear absorption mechanism of lead halide perovskites.

Finding point method and re-optimized method for the brightness temperature simulation from Fengyun 4A AGRI in infrared channels
Abstract The correlated $k$-distribution (CKD) is a fast radiative transfer model and is often used in atmospheric absorption simulation. In the paper, we apply two automatic CKD methods to satellite brightness temperature simulations from the Fengyun 4A Advanced Geostationary Radiation Imager (AGRI) in infrared channels, namely, the finding point method (FPM) and the re-optimized method (ROM).

Determination of tropical belt widening using multiple GNSS radio occultation measurements
3.1 Assessment of GNSS-RO temperature profiles In several previous studies, multiple GNSS-RO missions were utilized together for the purpose of obtaining high spatial resolution. In addition, the assessment of using different GNSS-RO missions together showed a high level of consistency (Hajj et al., 2004; Li et al., 2017; Tegtmeier et al., 2020; Xian et al., 2021).

Enhanced Polar Outflow Probe (e-POP) ionospheric radio occultation measurements at high latitudes: Receiver bias estimation and comparison with ground-based observations - Watson - 2018 - Radio Science - Wiley Online Library
This paper presents validation of ionospheric Global Positioning System (GPS) radio occultation (RO) measurements of the GPS Attitude, Positioning, and Profiling Experiment occultation receiver (GAP-O). GAP is one of eight instruments comprising the Enhanced Polar Outflow Probe (e-POP) instrument suite onboard the Cascade Smallsat and Ionospheric Polar Explorer (CASSIOPE) satellite. One of the main error sources for certain GAP-O data products is the receiver differential code bias (rDCB).
Incoherent Target Scattering Decomposition of Polarimetric SAR Data Based on Vector Model Roll-Invar...
Cameron's coherent decomposition is reconsidered in this paper for incoherent target decomposition. Characterizations of the minimum and maximum symmetric scattering components are considered in a unified model and projected into the Pauli basis to derive a new scattering vector model for the representation of coherent target scattering.
