Higher education homepages have had a history of being cluttered. With every department vying for homepage placement, visitors were often left to fend for themselves. “Click here” was the mantra, often leading a visitor to the sea of “nowhere to be found.” In 2012, Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) in Missouri launched the “Keep it Simple” project. The goal was to simplify the homepage as a student-centered doorway to the college.

Dateable Men and Women – My home church recently began broadcasting on God TV, starting with a series on the book of Ruth. I love this book for several reasons: Our pastor commented that Boaz, the hero of the story, was the type of man guys should try to be and the type of man each woman should look for. The statement made me pause and reflect on Boaz the man, and Ruth, the woman and the story.

Ever watch a child play with a ball? He is so fixated on the ball that he blocks out everything around him. Children are only able to focus on the object in front of them and possessing it is their only goal. The child fears that if the ball disappears, then it is lost forever. Try to take the ball away from him and he cries. Give the ball to another child and he throws a jealous fit.
