Introduction This paper aims to highlight the potential of an approach called corpus linguistics – a long-established computer-assisted method that facilitates the identification of linguistic patterns in large-scale textual data (Egbert, Larsson and Biber, 2020; Pollach, 2012). When linked to discourse analysis, it allows researchers to study large corpora from a qualitative, discursive perspective.
