Album Review: Set the Tone by Ghostface Killah
Ghostface Killah, the legendary rapper, has done it again. His latest album, “Set the Tone,” is a masterclass in storytelling, lyrical prowess, and sonic experimentation. From the opening notes of the first track, “6 Minutes,” it’s clear that Ghostface is on a mission to push the boundaries of what hip-hop can do. The album is a journey through the highs and lows of life, with Ghostface weaving together tales of love, loss, and redemption.

Global Hip-Hop Legend and Wu-Tang veteran Ghostface Killah returns with his first album in five years, “Set The Tone”. In celebration of his birthday, the lyrically gifted emcee shares his new 19-track opus with the rest of the world. Ghostface’s 12th studio album is also home to his new single “Scar Tissue” featuring Nas, which marks the consummate artists first collaboration since 1995’s “Verbal Intercourse” on Raekwon’s seminal debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
Ghostface Killah Continues To "Set The Tone" For What It Means To Be A Legend On New LP
Ghostface Killah managed to stand out in a group full of legends when he was with the Wu-Tang Clan. Now, the Staten Island native is making his presence felt in a similar way, even in today's landscape. After four years of not dropping a new album, Ghostface Killah has just ended the dry spell with Set The Tone (Guns & Roses). This marks his 12th solo effort and excitingly, this is the East Coast spitter's first release underneath Nas' label, Mass Appeal.
Ghostface Killah Raps Like The Rent Is Due Alongside Nas On "Scar Tissue"
Nas and Ghostface Killah on one track? Absolutely 100,000% yes. Two of New York hip-hop's most recognizable and respected figures are hopping on the same song for just the second time ever. It is a shame we have had to wait 29 years for this moment, but it is better late than never. "Scar Tissue" is going to be the lead single for the Wu-Tang Clan member's forthcoming record Set The Tone. It will be the first new album for Killah since 2019's Ghostface Killahs.

Ghostface Killer (Not That One) Catches Multiple Bodies In First Full ‘Scream VI’ Trailer
HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE The Ghostface Killer is back but instead of causing a ruckus in the burbs of the West Coast, he’s terrorizing New Yorkers instead (he probably got a Death Row pendant under his costume). A month after we got our first teaser trailer for Scream VI, fans of the cult classic franchise have not gotten the first full official trailer for the slasher film and truth be told, it looks pretty damn good.

Yung Miami sat down with veteran rapper Trina and the pair got into a raunchy sex discussion during the so-called “Resha Roulette” Q&A game.
Woman Sentenced To 2 Years In Jail For Stealing $90K In Balenciaga Bags
A team of thieves are regretting their decision to participate in retail rush. One woman was sentenced to two years of jail time for stealing $90K worth of Balenciaga product. Stephen A. Smith Apologizes To Rihanna For “She Ain’t Beyoncé” Remark
Now, we all know that famed sports commentator Stephen A. Smith has a big mouth—big enough for him to occasionally stick his entire foot in it while using his other foot to walk things back a bit. Also, Smith is pretty old. So old, possibly, that he’s a little too detached from the popular music scene to understand that Rihanna arguably has as big of a “hive” as the Queen Bee herself, Beyoncé. (Can the “Rih-hive” be a thing, or is that a little too on the nose?) From TMZ Sports: Stephen A.

SCENE's annual Christmas Songs that are Actually Good
I swear to sweet holy living God if I hear Bing Crosby sing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” one more time this year — ONE MORE TIME — I’m going to knock over the panettone display in whatever supermarket I happen to be in. I hate that song. And yes, sure, fine, OK, I recognize not everyone shares this opinion. I’m told the song helped a whole bunch of World War II soldiers make it through Christmas away from home when Crosby’s version was released back in ’43. For that, I salute it.

Roy Roots I started listening a week ago and I haven't stopped, mostly because I'm pressing repeat in all the tracks. I haven't been excited and happy to hear an album in years! Baby by Ghostface Killah
23 Songs, 1 Hour 30 Minutes EDITORS’ NOTES Ghostface has always been a ‘70s soul man at heart, and as he nears 40, he's finally found the courage to release an album solely consisting of emotional R&B rap. Almost all of Ghost’s work tilts towards old soul records, so Ghostdini isn’t just about the thrill of hearing vintage samples — though it is nice to hear premium selections from long lost artists like Yvonne Fair, Norman Feels, and Love, Peace & Happiness.
