Gil Student’s Biography

Rabbi Gil Student is the Editor of TorahMusings.com. He serves as Book Editor of the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Action magazine and as a member of the magazine's Editorial Board. He writes frequently in Jewish newspapers and magazines, serving as a regular contributor to Jewish Action, The Jewish Link of New Jersey, The Jewish Echo, and The Vues. Rabbi Student serves as Director of the Halacha Commission of the Rabbinical Alliance of America and a member of the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America. His most recent book is Search Engine: Finding Meaning in Jewish Texts volume 2 -- Jewish Leadership.
