What was your first job as a journalist?

I wrote about music for my college paper

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I used to play with my dad's typewriter because I loved the sound the keys made.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To tell stories that otherwise might not be told. To lift up voices that might not otherwise be heard.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Surprisingly, maybe, I write all my stories in Grammarly — I find the big blank page and autosave functions very helpful.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

In University, I wrote an interview based play about an AIDS service organisation in our town and the people who use it.

What's your favorite drink?

Coffee
