For generations, GNH Lumber and Home has supplied the materials that have become houses, businesses, and community institutions across the Catskills and Hudson Valley. Its history began more than a century ago, when Truman Ingalls traveled to local woodlots, setting up temporary sawmills and living quarters as he harvested timber. In 1937, Truman’s son Stanley L. Ingalls and James M. Freeman formally established Greenville Norton Hill Lumber Company to sell lumber, building materials, and coal.
