Ulysses S. Grant’s Cabin is only a small part of what makes up Grants Farm today. Grant’s Farm is operated by Anheuser-Busch, Inc., and has been a St. Louis tradition for over five decades. The Farm takes its name from the 18th President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant. In the 1850s, Grant founded and farmed a portion of the 281 acres that make up Grants Farm today. Ulysses S. Grant and his new bride, Julia Dent, received 80 acres of Dent family land as a wedding gift.
