Opinion: Birth certificate lies? New CA bill lets minors rewrite reality-without parental consent
By Greg Burt, VP, California Family Council SACRAMENTO, CA — The California legislature continues to disregard the rights of parents and ignore their religious beliefs regarding their children with the introduction of AB 1084, a bill that expedites the process for changing a person’s name and sex on official documents—including birth certificates and marriage licenses—based on “gender identity” rather than biological reality.
San Diego Supervisor Withdraws Plan to Shut Down Pregnancy Care Centers
A San Diego supervisor pulled from consideration a plan to shut down the county’s 16 pro-life pregnancy care centers (PCC) she considered “fake and fraudulent.” Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer introduced the same agenda item last month, but failed to get enough votes. She put her plan on the agenda again for tomorrow’s meeting after a new pro-abortion supervisor was elected to fill a vacancy on the board. But last Friday, she changed her mind.
San Diego Plan to Shut Down Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers Temporarily Halted
(California Family Council) Pro-lifers came out in force yesterday (Nov. 7, 2023) to oppose a San Diego Supervisor’s proposal to pursue litigation to shut down the county’s 16 pregnancy care centers she considered “fake and fraudulent.” The opponents overwhelmed the supporters with over 60 people speaking in opposition and 975 sending in written comments. In contrast, no one spoke in support at the hearing, and only 60 people sent in supportive comments.

For the last several years California legislators have been ramping up their efforts to legally obliterate male and female definitions by disconnecting the legal link between biology and a person’s sex or gender.
