First paying job was as sports editor of my University paper The Ontarion.

Yes. I'm old.
How is social media changing news?
The article never dies, especially if controversial. Conversation can always continue. Then again, the random noise can be deafening
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I don't have a favourite fictional journalist.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Be curious, be honest (even about your biases), be professional. No emotional venting in public. No plagiarism.

Can't think of one.

Same stuff as most others. Laptop, phone, recorder, camera...

Loved it right away and I was good at it.

Yes. I was a sportswriter
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Breaking anything brand new that no one knows. There have been lots of those.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write always. Never stop asking questions. Hit your deadlines.
