Introduction Obesity is the fifth leading cause of death worldwide (1) and is therefore considered a global epidemic, demonstrating one of the major health-related issues not only in industrialized countries but also in developing countries (2, 3). According to the World Health Organization (WHO), overweight and obesity are defined as a BMI greater than or equal to 25, respectively, a BMI greater than or equal to 30 (4).
There appears to be a remarkable transformation occurring within some of the biggest businesses in the country. Perhaps motivated by the scale of the challenges facing the world or simply responding to an apparent crisis of trust, it seems that there is a growing band of businesses taking action.
