Keeping coal plants open in Colorado could cost $87M, with consumers paying the tab
Colorado’s efforts to shut down its coal-fired power plants are being delayed by a shortfall in generation and a move by the Trump administration to keep old plants online. The cost to Colorado customers to continue running those coal-fired plants will be somewhere north of $87 million, although analysts and utility officials say that the exact price is still difficult to determine.

You voted: I’m am very disappointed. A 29 road interchange is sorely needed to improve traffic flow efficiency. I think the county should put the debt service question on the ballot, not the city. All Mesa County residents should be able to vote on it. I think it was the right move. The county has been ambiguous in their commitment to help fund the project. I think the city should negotiate a firmer deal. It’s fine with me. I don’t think the project is a top priority. I’m not sure.
