Griffith Littlehale’s Biography

Griffith Littlehale has chosen a professional path that brings him into direct contact with people during some of the most critical moments of their lives. Based in Toledo, OH, he serves as an Emergency Medical Technician with Ambulance Services, responding to urgent calls and providing immediate medical care. His work frequently involves supporting homebound individuals and others who experience difficulty accessing traditional healthcare settings. He believes that reliable medical attention should not depend on a person’s mobility or resources. Through a combination of emergency medical training and academic study in psychology, he approaches each patient with practical competence and awareness of emotional needs.

Growing up in Toledo, Griffith attended St. Francis De Sales High School and graduated in 2018, ranked eighth in his class. His academic performance reflected sustained effort and concentration. During the same period, he pursued competitive swimming and earned All-American honors in 2017-2018. Managing both athletics and academics required discipline and resilience, qualities that later supported his professional development. After completing high school, he continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in psychology. His studies focused on understanding behavior, cognition, and emotional processes. As a first-year student, he received the President's Education Award for excellence. The Jesup Scott Honors College and the Kappa Psi Fraternity also recognized him. These achievements reinforced his commitment to combining academic knowledge with meaningful service.

In April 2025, Griffith completed his Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. The certification program prepared him for fieldwork that demands quick judgment and procedural accuracy. In 2024, he was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award, sponsored by the University of Toledo and The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). His training includes patient assessment, basic life support procedures such as CPR and AED use, wound care management, medication assistance, trauma stabilization, and safe patient transport. He understands that emergency response requires thorough documentation and effective communication with hospital staff to ensure proper continuity of care. His background in psychology allows him to recognize signs of distress that may not be immediately visible, helping him respond with patience and attentiveness.

Since joining the Ambulance Services in June 2024, Griffith has contributed to broader community medicine initiatives across Toledo. He regularly answers emergency calls while also assisting individuals who may not have consistent access to healthcare services. His work with homebound patients reflects his belief that every person deserves careful and respectful treatment. He approaches each situation with steady focus and professionalism.

Outside his EMT responsibilities, Griffith remains engaged in volunteer efforts. He has supported local churches by preparing and serving meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and has participated in United Way food drives. In addition, he continues to build his graphic design portfolio, creating school advertisements, theater production posters, and custom holiday cards for a local church. Reading remains an important part of his routine, with interests that include Bret Easton Ellis, Edgar Allan Poe, Descartes, and Oscar Wilde.

Looking toward the future, Griffith Littlehale is considering graduate studies in psychology and possible clinical practice. He is also interested in organizational behavior, especially its connection to workplace diversity and mental health. Alongside his healthcare career, he plans to expand his freelance graphic design work and hopes to travel to gain broader experience. Through continued learning and service, he remains focused on contributing steadily and responsibly to his community.
