How is social media changing news?
social media is transforming the way we consume news. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook provide instant updates, often faster than traditional outlets. But with that speed comes a challenge—misinformation spreads just as quickly. Social media also allows people to engage with news directly, sharing opinions and creating conversations around issues, which can shape public perception. For healthcare, this means both opportunities and risks: accurate medical information can reach more people, but so can myths and fake news. Staying informed has become a balancing act in this digital landscape.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
When I’m not at a computer, you’ll most likely find me involved in some form of sports or physical activity. I love being on the move, whether it’s playing a game, working out, or simply staying active. Sports keep me energized and balanced, and they’re a big part of who I am. It’s also a great way to unwind and stay connected with others. Combining that passion with my interest in healthcare feels natural—both are about well-being, performance, and helping people thrive. Being active lets me recharge, and it gives me the focus I need when I dive back into work.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I’m really passionate about healthcare and love staying updated on the latest trends, research, and breakthroughs. Aside from the usual medical journals, I enjoy reading Harvard Health Blog. It offers practical, science-backed insights that are easy to digest, even for non-clinicians. I also like flipping through The New England Journal of Medicine for its depth, especially when I want to dive into more detailed studies. But honestly, The Lancet is a favorite too—it covers a wide range of global health issues, which ties into my interest in healthcare systems beyond just clinical practice.
