What is already known about the topic? Evidence from other areas of healthcare practice demonstrates that the ethical challenges discussed in the literature do not always accurately reflect the range of challenges that healthcare practitioners experience in real-world practice. This phenomenon has not previously been systematically examined within palliative care.
