Know Thy Enemy: Evolving Beyond the Status Quo
Image by Septimiu Balica. Audio by Marie T. Russell. Video version What did you dream? It’s all right, we told you what to dream You dreamed of a big star, he played a mean guitar He always ate in the Steak Bar. He loved to drive in his Jaguar So welcome to the Machine. -- Pink Floyd - Though our current society served us in the past, it is unable to stand in the increasing velocity of the evolving age.
Know Thy Enemy: Evolving Beyond the Status Quo (Video)
Image by Septimiu Balica. Narrated by Marie T. Russell. Though our current society served us in the past, it is unable to stand in the increasing velocity of the evolving age. Like a bi-plane trying to break the sound barrier, it is losing integrity, starting to shake apart, and its ugly underbelly is being exposed. If we are to embrace the new world at hand, we must be willing to disentangle ourselves from the old, which requires a parasitical cleanse of sorts.
The Unity of the Age of Aquarius: Light and Dark, Masculine and Feminine, Negative and Positive
The Unity of the Age of Aquarius: Light and Dark, Masculine and Feminine, Negative and Positive Image by 024-657-834 The power of positive and negative (light and dark, masculine and feminine, respectively) fluctuate in influence over the ages. The Light Worker and the Shaman The Leonean age was over, and two figures stood silhouetted on the edge of the cliff, robes blowing in the wind. It was both sunrise and sunset. The crescent moon hung in the sky.
The Age of Aquarius: Instinct, Intuition, and Unity Consciousness
Image by Gerd Altmann The energy of each age is associated with major evolutionary and cultural shifts of the species. We are currently entering the Age of Aquarius when the Earth’s axis passes from the portion of the ecliptic that represents the constellation Pisces to that of Aquarius. As we enter the Age of Aquarius, the frequencies that characterize the Aquarian Constellation begin to rain down on Earth, bringing a new set of influences.

Universal Myths, Legends and Prophecies in our Shared History
Image by Solarus Every culture has its own myths, legends, and prophecies of the ancient past. These original cultures were Earth/star-based shamanic societies with an oral tradition and specifically assigned record keepers who saved the history in story form. What is fascinating about these stories is that from culture to culture there are similar themes.

Where To Start Reclaiming Our Birthright? Viewing Life As A Vision Quest
Image by bertvthul If any nationality is followed to its roots, there will be an Earth-based society with its own form of shamanic healing. Shamanism is a spiritual-healing practice (not to be confused with religion) at the foundation of all indigenous, Earth-based, societies. In short, shamanism mends where the laws of nature have been broken. The spiritual illness of “soul loss” is a universal shamanic concept.

The End of Days? or the Beginning of the Next Cycle?
We are coming into a time when the old method of taking the events of the past, superimposing them on the present, and making a rerun out of the future is failing. While this pattern is familiar and comfortable, it is also increasingly dysfunctional, as it ignores life’s cyclic nature. Although it is not always evident, life actually operates as a spiral. As a culture we have lost our connection with the larger cycles of life, and we find ourselves floundering without guidance.

What Is Your Future? The Amazing Power of Denial
One of the contradictions of a polarized view of reality is that, even if we choose to perceive certain aspects as separate, everything is subject to natural law, and therefore, interrelated. Any time we judge against anything, we are judging against something in ourselves. If we judge against the dark and only value the light, whatever in us that is of the dark (50% of our expression) must be firmly shoved into denial.
Reframing Where We Have Been: Ultimate Truth or Ever-Evolving Truth?
Image by Марина Вельможко We stand at the precipice of a remarkable adventure—the adventure of human evolution. We may have been here before but never in recorded history and never exactly like this. By simply being alive during these potent times, we have become the chosen ones to steward an entirely new way of being. The wheels have turned, the cycles progressed, and we are moving from a polarized existence into unity consciousness. What does this mean to us as individuals and as a people?

InnerSelf Newsletter: May 26th, 2019
Image by Brigitte Werner Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self. Once again I feel like starting the newsletter with the words "the times, they are a'changing"... and perhaps it is a mantra for these times, as well as an observation, and of course also a vision to create. Our featured authors this week are focusing on the big picture... the changes that are taking place as well as the changes we need to implement ourselves.
