Observation of nuclear-spin Seebeck effect - Nature Communications
Abstract Thermoelectric effects have been applied to power generators and temperature sensors that convert waste heat into electricity. The effects, however, have been limited to electrons to occur, and inevitably disappear at low temperatures due to electronic entropy quenching. Here, we report thermoelectric generation caused by nuclear spins in a solid: nuclear-spin Seebeck effect.

To retrospectively compare the success rate and complications related to computed tomography (CT)–guided pulmonary marking before video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) using two different markers, indocyanine green and lipiodol mixture with fat emulsion (group1) versus short hook wire (group2).

Induction of humoral and cellular immune response to hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccine can be upregulated by CpG oligonucleotides complexed with Dectin-1 ligand - Ito - 2016 - Journal of Viral Hepatitis - Wiley Online Library
A persistent hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is characterized by a lack of or a weak immune response to HBV, which may be reflective of tolerance to HBV. Efficient induction of HBV-specific immune response leads to the clearance of HBV in patients with a chronic HBV infection. CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (ODN) has a powerful adjuvant effect in HBV vaccination.
