Nothing that justified $15,000 and two weeks. So I spent a few weekends building it myself.

Cop becomes hero after killing a blasphemy accused at Quetta police station
This tragic incident in Quetta reflects the severe consequences of blasphemy accusations in Pakistan, where emotions surrounding religious sensitivities often escalate into violence. Abdul Ali, the elderly man accused of blasphemy, was charged under Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, a law that carries harsh penalties, including the death sentence, for offenses related to disrespecting the Holly Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

To combat erosion caused by the flooding, gabion-style retaining structures were built using reeds. These walls served not only as conduits for waterways on the land but also functioned to redirect Nile floods into reservoirs, proving to be efficient flood control solutions.

Pakistan: Two Sikh shopkeepers shot dead
Unidentified assailants gunned down two Sikh shopkeepers in Bata Tal bazaar of Peshawar’s Sarband area on Sunday morning. The two assailants were riding a motorcycle when they opened fire on the victims, who were selling spices in the bazaar. The victims died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Saljeet Singh, 42, and Ranjeet Singh, 38. CCPO Peshawar Ijaz Khan said the incident is the result of targeted killing and the anti-state elements wanted to spread fear among the minority community.

Priyantha Diyawadanage’s violent death sparked protests across Pakistan and Sri Lanka Six men have been sentenced to death over the mob killing of a Sri Lankan man accused of blasphemy in Pakistan. Priyantha Diyawadanage, 48, a factory manager in the city of Sialkot, was beaten to death and his body set alight last December. Of 88 people convicted, nine were given life sentences and the others jail terms of two to five years.

Muslim man charged for desecrating cross, insulting church
A Muslim man is charged for desecrating the cross installed by a church in the Green Town area of Lahore city of Pakistan. Accused Muhammad Bilal climbed the 40-feet high cross installed by One In Christ Church, Hafiza Chowk, Green Town, tried to take it down and chanted slogans of Allah-o-Akbar. The church caters the Christian community of Hafiz chowk, Nayi Abadi, Green Town.
