What was your first job as a journalist?
My first agency job out of college, I was sent around the country to interview farm families for an agribusiness client.
How is social media changing news?
Not in a good way, I'm afraid.
What's your favorite social network?
LinkedIn for professional content and networking, but hands-down TikTok for everything else. People are SO innovative on that platform!
Who do you wish followed you?
I prefer quality connections to followers. Recently, I opened my calendar for anyone interested in a 30-minute chat about a topic of their choice.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I really enjoyed putting together a piece on phygital experiences for The CX Lead—fun interviews, tons of research, and a fun design collab!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Focus on forging connections: between you and your subjects, between subjects and the audience, and between the audience and the story.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
It was a huge honor to be approached by IBM to interview watsonx's VP of Product on The Product Manager Podcast.
