Have you ever used a typewriter?

I did...once. More of a gift.

How is social media changing news?

On one hand, it's great getting news out there instantly at the click of a button. The latter, people are more prone to sharing fake news.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use NGage, and also a whole lot of Final Cut Pro. I like to make videos from time to time.

What's your favorite social network?

I tend to drift toward Facebook more than Twitter. Instagram has proven to be one of my favorites.

Why did you become a journalist?

I genuinely want to help others by being a public servant and making sure there's transparency between the people and their leaders.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I worked for my high school paper The Courier, and was Co-People Editor at the time. I did layouts, page design, and wrote stories.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I'm probably outside. I love to travel around the area in search of my next project or story. I also like to do some photography on the side.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I love to read National Geographic, Time Magazine, The New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and The Plain Dealer.
