Haritha John’s Biography
Haritha John is the chief of Kerala bureau for The News Minute. She extensively reports on religion, politics, caste, environment and human rights. Her stories focus on the social, political and economic experiences of India’s diverse communities with a particular focus on religious and caste minorities. Her ground reports from Manipur were widely read for the unique perspective it offered into the ground reality in multiple villages in the hills of Manipur. In 2023 she won the ‘Young Changemaker award’ for 2023 by the Azadi Project, and in 2018, she won the UNICEF-Kerala Media Awards for her reportage on child rights for her story on child brides in Malappuram.
