Joint contribution of central adiposity and frailty to cardiovascular risk in ageing populations: evidence from two longitudinal cohorts and a hospital-based cross-sectional sample
Background Central adiposity and frailty are important contributors to cardiovascular vulnerability in ageing populations. However, whether their coexistence identifies individuals with disproportionately elevated cardiovascular risk and whether this association is consistent across populations remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the association between combined central adiposity and frailty phenotypes and incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk across diverse ageing populations.
Explaining English Learning Motivation in Digital EFL Environments through Emotional Intelligence, Academic Well-Being, and Perceived Digital Learning Support
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Front. Psychol. Sec. Educational Psychology Abstract The rapid expansion of digital learning environments has transformed English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education and increased the importance of understanding the psychological and contextual factors associated with EFL learners’ motivation.

English Teachers' Perceptions of AI-Supported Writing Instruction: Implications for Professional Development
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Front. Psychol. Sec. Educational Psychology Abstract The increasing adoption of artificial intelligence in English writing instruction has prompted renewed attention to teachers' perceptions of AI-supported writing instruction (TPAI) in classroom contexts. Existing studies have largely prioritised technological affordances and student outcomes, offering limited insight into teachers' instructional agency (IA) and professional support needs.

Frontiers | “Agentic fuel” and “Social dividends”: a mixed-methods explanatory study of optimism as a mediator between gratitude, mindfulness, and psychological wellbeing among Chinese university EFL students
1 Introduction Psychological wellbeing (PWB), a cornerstone of human flourishing, extends beyond the mere absence of psychopathology to encompass multidimensional positive functioning, including self-acceptance, purpose, positive relationships, autonomy, and personal growth (Keyes, 2005; Ryff and Singer, 1998). High PWB is crucial for fostering resilience, adaptive coping, and overall life satisfaction (Diener et al., 2010; Ryff and Keyes, 1995).
Strain‐Adaptive Liquid Metal Interfaces Overcome Poisson's Ratio Constraints in Piezoresistive Sensors for Infant Sleep Monitoring
1 Introduction Flexible piezoresistive sensors have been extensively explored for healthcare monitoring and human-machine interaction.[1] Porous-structured piezoresistive sensors, owing to their exceptional compressibility and strain amplification effects, have emerged as one of the predominant strategies for achieving high-sensitivity pressure detection.
