L’ospite regale - Henrik Pontoppidan - Recensione libro
L’ospite regale Autore: Henrik Pontoppidan Categoria: Narrativa Straniera Casa editrice: Iperborea Anno di pubblicazione: 2026 L’estraneo ricorre in letteratura come archetipo destabilizzante.

Ugens digt: Henrik Pontoppidans juledigt
‘A Fortunate Man’ Review: A Danish Engineer Strives for Success
Streaming Movie Review Image Katrine Greis-Rosenthal and Esben Smed in “A Fortunate Man,” directed by Bille August. The title “A Fortunate Man” has a double edge, as the movie, whose characters rarely fail to explain their motives and circumstances, never tires of reminding you. The screenwriting, adapted from the Danish author Henrik Pontoppidan’s turn-of-the-20th-century novel “Lucky Per,” hoists subtext so high that it surpasses text. Walk through the room once an hour, and you’ll be good.
The Best Books about Denmark
I read this a couple of years ago. Bo Lidegaard is a historian and former editor at one of the bigger papers in Denmark. It seeks to explain why the Danish Jews escaped so relatively unscathed during WW2, the conditions deliberately put in place by the social-democratic government in the 30s, lots of interesting theories on how to fascist-proof a country (basically do the opposite of what Trump is doing now, as it turns out), many surprising details from occupation that were new to me.
