Surface Profilometry The surface profile of LACS single-track specimens (deposited with three different substrate preheating temperatures viz. 400 °C, 600 °C, and 800 °C, respectively) are presented in Figure 3. The laser spot of 4.4 mm diameter was found to be large enough to heat one-half of the track.
