My name is Hiba Hammoud, I am 20 years old and a final year Journalism student at Deakin University.
I have run my own blog for two years now, where I have reached over 6000 people just by writing about issues I am passionate about.
My blog 'Inside Look' is mainly revolved around covering world issues and 'hot topics' but from a Gen Y perspective.
As a high school student, I was always interested in opinion pieces and international affairs, but I realised none of my classmates were interested, purely because they felt like it didn't impact their life.
I put my blog together, so I can engage the younger audience in international affairs, to actually see how it can affect certain parts of their life.
Other than that, I love my fitness and health! Outside of university and work I have my own fitness journey, and considering I work for a Gym Facility, it does impact my writing a lot. In this portfolio you'll find a lot of my stories cover health and fitness topics, which at some point I experienced in my day-to-day life.
It may sound cliche, but I love travelling and travel photography. Travel inspires many of my articles, not just overseas travel, but anywhere I go really, whether it's to a park, a beach or the city, I always find something to inspire my writing and I feel like photography can capture the very moment I do get inspired.
