My high school was tiny and didn't have a newspaper. Thankfully, I fell in with the deviant crowd at my college newspaper.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be direct. Strip away the poetry and get to the point. Write about what you care about. If you don't care about something, readers can tell.
