I’m Holly Wright, a freelance sports journalist and UDO Footy Journo student passionate about uncovering the stories behind football at every level.
As editor and writer for Lower Tiers, I focus on the lower divisions of English football, blending match reporting, tactical analysis, and human-interest features to bring the game to life for fans. I also serve as a senior Manchester United Women writer at Since 71 Blog, covering matches, player profiles, and team features, and was recently promoted to editor and mentor, guiding the next generation of aspiring journalists.
In addition, I work as the Derby County correspondent for Vital Football UK, reporting on fixtures, transfers, and club developments. Beyond journalism, I manage social media and act as match day secretary at non-league Cromford and Wirksworth Town, while completing a work placement writing for The Football League Paper.
