Acting Labour and Social Security Minister Michael Katambo said the current statistics were worrying, and that there was need for concerted efforts to fight the scourge. Mr Sikota, 76, said he was in the process of marrying Ms Chalikulima, but after deep reflection, he changed his mind. "For some time now, the social media and other fora have carried stories of my intended marriage to Ms Chalikulima. Upon deep reflection, I have come to the conclusion not to proceed with this arrangement.

Zambia: Earthquake Hits North

By Hope Bwalya, Chila Namaiko and Esther Ng'anduSOME parts of Northern Province were yesterday hit by an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 leaving five people injured and 11 families homeless after their houses collapsed yesterday. Geological survey director Chipilauka Mukofu and Kaputa Member of Parliament Maxas Ng'onga confirmed the tremor which struck lake Tanganyika.
