A constitutional crisis is upon us
We’re in a Constitutional crisis! If you’ve been paying attention to what’s been happening in this country since Jan. 20, and especially if you’ve been reading reliable news sources, that’s a phrase with which you will be very familiar. Unfortunately, too many people do not pay attention, or they gather their information from sources such as Fox “News” — which even its owners, the Murdochs, say is not news but is instead “entertainment.” So what is this crisis that screams at us each day?
Finstad stands with Putin, Trump
Thank you to Mike Johnson, speaker of the House, for finally breaking the impasse and doing the right thing on sending aid to Ukraine in its battle against a criminal assault on this democratic country by Russia and its dictator Vladimir Putin. On Feb. 6, 1967, I was on a military-chartered flight from San Francisco to Okinawa, with a planned stop in Hawaii.
No justification for Jensen's pathetic criticism
So, the physician who questioned the seriousness of COVID-19, who saw no need for masks or school closings, and who managed to avoid military service because his draft number wasn’t “high enough” now questions the military record of Gov. Tim Walz, who served with great distinction for 24 years? Really? Gov. Walz had no concerns about conscription when, at age 17, he enlisted in the National Guard. In 2004, President George W. Bush visited Mankato.
