Holly Morgan’s Biography

"When life gives you melons, you need a proofreader."

Holly Morgan is a professional melon chaser.

As a graduating Mass Communication student at Winthrop University, she enjoys writing and editing copy. In her spare time, she dabbles in photography - especially taking pictures of her favorite places like the lowcountry of South Carolina. Holly is looking for opportunities to write for magazines that illustrate the beauty of the South and the Southern lifestyle.

Holly interned at the Culture and Heritage museums of York County, in the marketing department, where she wrote and edited press releases. Her supervisor, the community relations coordinator, said that out of all the interns from Winthrop she's worked with, Holly was the strongest writer.

While at Winthrop University, Holly became a member of two national honor societies; Gamma Beta Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha. She volunteered at the York County Humane Society and was Director of Career and Personal Development for her sorority. She also served as President of the Association for Women in Communications chapter at Winthrop University. In addition, she volunteered for several political campaigns during the 2016 presidential election.
