Discussion in 'General Yachting Discussion' started by Hugh janeis, . Does anyone have any experience with financing a used yacht? Specifically a MY or trawler in the 31- 40ft range... Ive been working towards getting one and am about to start actively shopping (not just window shopping lol) and was wondering what to expect. Any insite would be greatly appreciated. Wish me luck! Aft cabin motor yachts

My wife and I have been looking at motor yachts. We like the idea of having two bathrooms, and the aft cabins seem to be the way to go. We do like the sedan/convertibles too. But, it's just dawned on me, I don't see any newer aft cabins. Why is that? Is there a major flaw with aft cabins I don't know about?

Coastal cruising in a carver?

I like the room and layout and there doesn't seem to be any shortage of them. I'm mainly interested in coastal cruising and maybe doing the loop one day. The only thing I know for sure is that I want diesel. My main question. Are carvers suitable for coastal cruising? I'm getting many mixed signals when reading online. Thoughts?
