Serum IL-6 and functional outcome after endovascular therapy: the mediating role of infarct volume growth in acute ischemic stroke
Abstract Background and purpose: Inflammatory factors are pivotal in systemic and central nervous system inflammation post-stroke. This study examined if peripheral inflammatory factors were associated with outcomes after endovascular therapy for acute large vessel occlusion stroke by mediating infarct growth. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of the EVTRNA (Circulating Non-coding RNA in Acute Ischemic Stroke with Endovascular Treatment) trial.
Incidence and management outcomes of chylothorax after pulmonary resection for primary lung cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Chylothorax is an uncommon but clinically important complication of pulmonary resection for primary lung cancer and may complicate postoperative management and require treatment escalation. However, quantitative syntheses of its incidence and management outcomes are lacking.
From blood to bowel: correlating serological markers with mucosal healing and inflammation in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
Abstract Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a systemic disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Serological testing has the advantages of wide sources and easy detection. Objective: To explore the correlation between the serological markers and endoscopic mucosal healing and histological healing.
Correction: Laparoscopic transcystic exploration of the common bile duct using a 9 Fr catheter
A Correction on Laparoscopic transcystic exploration of the common bile duct using a 9 Fr catheter By Li P, Cheng J, Hou Y, Cui F, Chen X, Sun H, Ma R, Yao J and Chen X (2026). Front. Acutely denervated muscle EVs reshape neuronal mitochondrial metabolism via retrograde signaling to rescue peripheral nerve injury
Results To investigate the pro-regenerative potential of muscle following denervation, we established a unilateral sciatic nerve transection model in C57BL/6J mice and systematically tracked adaptive responses. Specifically, bilateral gastrocnemius samples were harvested at six time points: baseline (0 day) and 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14 days post-denervation (DPD) for atrophy progression analysis (Figure 1A). Progressive gastrocnemius wet weight loss was observed, reaching 49.78% ± 1.00% reduction vs.
Frontiers | Laparoscopic transcystic exploration of the common bile duct using a 9 Fr catheter
Abstract Objective: This study aimed to explore the clinical efficacy of performing a laparoscopy with a 9Fr disposable pancreaticobiliary catheter in diagnosing and treating common bile duct stones. Methods: Duodenoscopy was performed in 66 patients between January 2020 and January 2024 at our institution. Clinical indicators were analyzed, and postoperative treatment effects were monitored.

Study on the biodegradation of crude oil by free and immobilized bacterial consortium in marine environment
Five strains of bacteria, namely, Exiguobacterium sp. ASW-1, Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain ASW-2, Alcaligenes sp. ASW-3, Alcaligenes sp. ASS-1, and Bacillus sp. ASS-2, were isolated from the Zhejiang coast in China. The mixed flora of the five strains performed well with degrading 75.1% crude oil (1%, w/v) in 7 days. The calcium alginate—activated carbon embedding carrier was used to immobilize bacterial consortium.
