Intestinal Delivery of Probiotics: Materials, Strategies, and Applications
Probiotics with diverse and crucial functions and properties have attracted broad interest from many researchers, who adopt intestinal delivery of probiotics to modulate the gut microbiota. However, the major problems faced for the therapeutic applications of probiotics are the viability and colonization of probiotics during their processing, intake, and subsequent delivery to the gut.

Biomass-Derived Carbon Aerogels for ORR/OER Bifunctional Oxygen Electrodes
2. Preparation and Modification of Biomass-Based CAs CAs belong to a branch of aerogels. They are a relatively new type of porous carbon material obtained from the high-temperature pyrolysis of organic aerogels as precursors in an inert gas environment []. CAs are featured by the typical 3D nano-network porous structure of aerogels; however, they have several advantages, including high specific surface areas, high porosity, and large pore volumes [].

Air-permeable and Flexible Multifunctional Cellulose-based Textiles for Bio-protection, Thermal Heating Conversion, and Electromagnetic Interference Shielding
Air-permeable and Flexible Multifunctional Cellulose-based Textiles for Bio-protection, Thermal Heating Conversion, and Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Zhaochuan Yu, Chao Deng, Farzad Seidi, Qiang Yong, Zhichao Lou, Liucheng Meng, Jiawei Liu, Chen Huang, Yuqian Liu, Weibing Wu, Jingquan Han and Huining Xiao Abstract Air-permeable and flexible multifunctional textiles are highly desired for wearable electronics and portable device applications.
Degradable polyprodrugs: design and therapeutic efficiency
Degradable polyprodrugs: design and therapeutic efficiency Farzad Seidi, *ab Yajie Zhong,a Huining Xiao, c Yongcan Jin a and Daniel Crespy *b Abstract Prodrugs are developed to increase the therapeutic properties of drugs and reduce their side effects. Polyprodrugs emerged as highly efficient prodrugs produced by the polymerization of one or several drug monomers. Polyprodrugs can be gradually degraded to release therapeutic agents.
Immobilizing Laccase on Different Species Wood Biochar to Remove the Chlorinated Biphenyl in Wastewater
Figure 1 shows the FT-IR spectra of biochars. As can be seen from the main peaks of Maple biochar (Mba) and Spruce biochar (Sba), there are no obvious difference between the two kinds of biochar. The strong band at 3502 cm−1 corresponds to O-H and the peak at 2932 cm−1 is assigned to C-H group, and the strong absorption at 1704 cm−1 and 1604 cm−1 are due to C=O and C=C, respectively.
