General Motors Corporation (GMC) decided to revive the Hummer name, the rights of which they’d retained from over a decade ago when the brand was axed following the financial meltdown. That meltdown saw GM, at the time a major automotive group, drop several brands including Hummer and Saturn and divesting from some others.
