What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked as a contributor/writer for the triathlon magazine LAVA. I covered the Rio Olympics for them.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, not for work but for infantile pleasure back in my grandmother's house.
How is social media changing news?
You can find some great leads in social media. But, it has created a news business of highlights rather than stories.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Camcorders, GoPros, Zoom Recorder, Shotgun/Lav Mics, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects, Adobe Audition, etc
What's your favorite social network?
Snapchat
Who do you wish followed you?
Derek Jeter mostly, but I assume every sports reporter from Bob Ley to Scoop Jackson to Bob Ryan and so on.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love sports. I love writing. I don't necessarily think my voice needs to be heard, but I do believe people need to know what is happening.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I covered the sports and entertainment at my short tenure at the high school newspaper.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
There's this story I wrote about a very little known sport in NYC called SpikeBoarding. It reads as a story of a man with a dream.

Keep pushing, keep searching, keep being obnoxious. You have to be active.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Tuesday morning after the big rush on Monday
What's your favorite drink?
Water.

The New York Times

I write about sports, but I do not write recaps. I search for human-interest sports stories to publish through print, radio or video.
